Melbourne Thermography has been providing thermographic scanning of residential and commercial switchboards for many years in the Melbourne metro area. Over this time our team has created a reputation for being thorough, subject knowledge experts in our field.
It is through premium, customer centric service that our reputation has been built, this reputation has allowed our team to become industry leaders in the melbourne metro area and the preferred thermographic imaging operators for many large commercial enterprises.
Our team follows a simple recipe for success with each and every client to ensure everyone receives the A+ service that Melbourne Thermography is known for. With just 4 simple steps our team can have evidence based reports ready for your building manager, expert recommendations for actions and a future proof plan for future building management in this space.
Whilst our process may appear simple thermal imaging cannot be done by anyone, for accurate thermal imaging reports must be compiled by an accredited industry professional. Given that thermal imaging reports can reduce the risk of electrical fire, electrical outages, electrocution and the reliability of your business’s devices and appliances you don’t want to take the risk of using an unqualified individual. Don’t risk it, always use a licensed electrician and accredited thermographer.
The first step for any of our thermographic services is getting to know our client at the time of booking a service.
Our clients can get in touch with us through phone, email, social media or even call into our office.
We have a team of friendly, helpful and knowledgeable customer service staff who are on hand to assist, if there is something they are unsure of they can simply contact one of our experienced and qualified thermographers who will be happy to discuss with you your questions or concerns.
At the time of booking your appointment our team will take the time to get to know you, your business and your building to ensure a thorough brief is provided to our thermographer team. The benefit of taking this brief is that our team arrives at your premises prepared and informed with all the necessary equipment to get your job done as well as a good understanding of your building and any potential issues that may be occurring.
After many years of working in the industry our team has found that taking a thorough client brief ensures we get the job done right the first time as well as giving our clients a 5 star customer experience.
The second step in the process is for one of our trained and qualified electrical thermographers to attend your site. Our team will do our best to ensure that the time we visit your site works best for you and your business. Whilst this may not always be possible our team will always offer a few different days and times for you to choose from.
When booking in their services many people often ask us if their electrical supply will be disrupted during our testing and reporting. The simple answer to this is no, our team actually wants all of your appliances and devices operating as normal whilst they undergo their testing and reporting. This ensures our team reports on the most “normal” circumstances that your devices and appliances generally experience.
Upon attending your site our team will sign in and undertake any required inductions that your business has in place. They will then locate the switchboard and begin undertaking the reporting and testing phase. To ensure a thorough report is compiled our team will visit all switchboards and sub boards on the premises and provide an individual report for each as well as an overall report that updates your on the current health and status of your building.
Whilst on site our team will review the findings and start to make an assessment of your building and electrical setup, based on this assessment our team will make recommendations on how you can improve the outcomes for your components, devices and appliances to future proof them and ensure the people working in your building are kept safe.
When our team is on site they are looking for colour readings from the machines. These colour readings paint a picture for the overall performance of a component, device or appliance.
Generally speaking the darker the colour on the reading the better the component, device or appliance is operating. The lighter the colour reading the more stress and strain a component, device or appliance is under and therefore poses a risk to the building and the people working within it.
After the thermographer has completed the assessment they will then begin to compile the report which will be shared with the client. The reports are well detailed showing images of the switchboards and sub boards, images of the findings, explanations of the finding and general recommendations for optimal performance and longevity of parts and devices.
The reports are well laid out to ensure even the most inexperienced person can read them, understand them and take action upon them. It is a standard part of our service offers for our thermographer to take you through the report once it is completed. This ensures our customers have the chance to ask any questions they may have and to ensure they fully understand and comprehend what is being presented to them.
From there the individual will be left with a digital copy of the report. Having a digital copy of the report ensures you always have a reference to refer back to in the future, have the ability to compare old and new reports as well as having a documented history of the overhealth of your building electricals.
If you would like to learn more about the process at Melbourne Thermography we would love to hear from you. Our team is available to answer any questions you may have about our team and our services.
