Scope of work

Routine Thermal inspection completed as part of the company’s annual electrical maintenance program.

Outcome

There is a fault at the meter panel for a set of businesses. A fuse base is heating up. Fuse base was replaced at 5pm after the kitchen had shut down.

When 1 phase fails in a 3 phase appliance, if that appliance runs on 2 phases it can seriously damage the appliance. Ie. It can burn out a motor which is very costly to replace (not to mention downtime).

Quick Facts

•  Thermography report led to fault being detected.
•  Work able to be quoted by electrician and done outside hours.
•  Had the phase failed, machinery would have either not worked or burnt out components of the machinery.
